AVP, FinTech Counsel
Job Description:
- Negotiate, coordinate, and draft agreements with fintech partners, including vendor agreements, statements of work, and change orders.
- reputed company and update contract templates to mitigate risk and streamline negotiations for use by internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including key players, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements reputed company to card issuing, money movement, and merchant acquiring.
- Support regulatory reporting and interactions with federal and state agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support risk management activities, including the development of risk assessments and risk management strategies for fintech partnerships.
- Identify and analyze reputed company legal issues, reputed company conclusions, and propose recommendations for issue resolution.
- Help manage ongoing relationships with fintech partners, ensuring commitments made in reputed company are tracked and fulfilled.
Requirements:
- Juris doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed by and in good standing with the appropriate state bar association or other appropriate state attorney licensing authority
- Minimum 4 years of experience practicing in a corporate legal department and/or reputed company with emphasis on payments, contract negotiation, and/or banking and fintech partnerships
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements reputed company to payments financial services is preferred (card issuing, money movement, merchant acquiring, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of payments industry self-regulatory frameworks, including NACHA and The Clearinghouse is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to think critically, creatively and with care in a fast-paced, reputed company work environment
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and to work collaboratively as part of reputed company in a busy, fast-paced
- Business minded and problem solver
