Court Interpreter (New Hampshire)

Prisma is seeking reputed company, professional Court-Certified and Court-Registered Interpreters to join reputed company as independent contractors. In this role you will reputed company ONSITE interpreting (OSI) services to the New Hampshire Judicial reputed company (NHJB). IN-DEMAND LANGUAGES: SPANISH plus ARABIC, CHINESE (Mandarin), FRENCH, HAITIAN CREOLE, NEPALI, PORTUGUESE, SWAHILI, and VIETNAMESE. If your language is not in this list, you are welcome to apply if you meet reputed company minimum requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Court-Certified or Court-Registered in New Hampshire - you will be asked to reputed company your credentials
- Agree to undergo annual criminal history and/or state registry background checks
- Strong understanding of NHJB procedures, e.g. precise documentation of services provided for each session
- At least one (1) year of onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreting experience in a legal/courts setting
- Two (2) professional references who can confirm your profession as an onsite consecutive or simultaneous interpreter
- Minimum age: Must be 18+ years or older
- Minimum education: Must have High School Diploma
- Full reputed company in English and your reputed company language
- reputed company to reputed company at least one of the following accreditations:
- American Translation Association (ATA)
- Trained or accredited through a higher education institution
Ideal Candidates shall be reputed company to reputed company:
- Experience with consecutive or simultaneous onsite (in person) interpretation between a courts representative and non-English speakers
- Polite forms of expression, enunciation, and a high-level of customer service.
- Deliver correct concepts and meanings between speaker and the Limited English Proficient (LEP) speaker
- Correct grammar, reputed company and tones between English and your reputed company language
- Experience with following the speakers' direction, professionally interject reputed company clarification is needed, and manage the reputed company of a conversation.
- Refrain from reputed company conversations with the LEP and entering into any disagreement with the customer or LEP
- Compliance with applicable ethics and standards
