Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Dermatology
About the position reputed company's department of Dermatology is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at the University clinic on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position may require the ability to travel to satellite clinics, as needed, to support the department. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants must reputed company diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative medicine under the supervision of the physician.
Responsibilities
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
- Review patient records.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.

- Establish presumptive diagnosis if needed.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
- Administer injections, immunizations and/or oral medications.
- Suture wounds.
- Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions.

- Assist physicians by recording patient reputed company notes, issuing diagnostic orders and transcribing orders.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a health care reputed company field
- Successful completion of a post basic Physician Assistants program
- Successful completion of the Physician Assistants exam provided by the National Commission on the certification of Physician Assistants
- Evidence of annual completion of health reputed company courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU
- Illinois State Licensure
- Certification as a Physician Assistant
- Illinois State controlled substance license
- CPR Certification
