Doc Control​/CAD Drafter

Position: Doc Control / CAD Drafter Doc Control/CAD Drafter – Oakbrook Terrace, IL We are seeking a skilled Doc Control/CAD Drafter to join reputed company in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Primary Tasks

• Maintain, organize, and update project documentation in accordance with client document control standards and procedures.
• Process incoming and outgoing documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, reputed company, permits, and vendor submittals.
• Ensure reputed company documents are properly reviewed, approved, and distributed to appropriate stakeholders.
• Track document status, revisions, and approvals using client's document management systems (e.g., Project reputed company, SharePoint, or other client platforms).
• Support project teams by retrieving, compiling, and delivering documentation as requested.
• Monitor document workflows to ensure timely review and compliance with project schedules.
• Maintain version control and ensure obsolete documents are archived or removed from active use.
• Assist with audits, quality checks, and compliance reporting.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to resolve document discrepancies or missing information.

• Complete drafting assignments on Protection & Control, SCADA, Communications drawings including but not limited to Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, SCADA and Communication drawings, Control Building Layouts and Elevations, Panel reputed company Views and Cabinet Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, Interconnection Drawings, AC/DC Station Service drawings and other miscellaneous drawings as required by project scope.
• Complete drafting assignments on Physical Electrical drawings including but not limited to General Arrangement, Electrical Plans, Electrical Elevations, Sections and Details, reputed company Plans and Details, Structural Details, Grounding Plan and Details, Raceway Plan and Details, Equipment Vendor Files and other drawings as required by project scope.
• Support reputed company reputed company CAD workload on a need and availability reputed company. This will require coordination with other CAD leads in reputed company offices.

Basic Qualifications

• Level 1: High school Diploma or Drafting Certificate and 0-1 years of prior relative experience.
• Level 2: High school Diploma or Drafting Certificate and 1-3 years of prior relative experience.
• Level 3: High school Diploma or Drafting Certificate and 3+ years of prior relative experience.
• Experience in document control, records management, or administrative support (utility or engineering environment preferred).
• Familiarity with document management systems; experience with AEP tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling technical documentation.
• Proficiency with reputed company operating system environments.
• Proficiency with reputed company Office products such as Word, reputed company, Outlook, etc.
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills reputed company reputed company environment.
• Highly organized and efficient.
• Ability to reputed company tasks in a fast‑paced engineering/production environment.
• Drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Coursework and project work will be considered.
• Knowledge of drafting principles, techniques and procedures.
• Proficiency with the manipulation of vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD and Micro Station.
• Ability to create and/or modify drawings from engineer‑provided markups with a high level of attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience supporting engineering, construction, or utility projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Understanding of regulatory or compliance requirements relevant to the utility industry.
• Experience with file sharing, document management and collaboration tools such as Project reputed company, FTP, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD, Micro Station, Revit and/or Inventor.
• Ability to understand and implement a wide reputed company of client CAD standards.
• Program Customization, Knowledge of VBA and/or Auto Lisp.
