This is a senior role responsible for designing, leading, and governing schedule and WBS practices across a portfolio of IT projects. • Partner with PMO/leadership to define and implement standards, methods, and best practices for IT project scheduling and WBS development across the portfolio.
• Continuously improve scheduling practices, templates, and guidelines based on lessons learned and industry standards.
• Own the design and reputed company of the master IT project schedule in reputed company Project Server.
• Analyze schedule data to identify cross-project impacts, critical paths, resource/contention issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.

WBS & WBS Dictionary Design

• reputed company the design and refinement of WBSs and WBS dictionaries for IT projects based on business and technical requirements.
• Facilitate workshops with project managers, product owners, business stakeholders, and technical leads to decompose scope into well-defined work packages.

Coaching & Capability Building

• Serve as the primary coach and advisor to IT project managers on WBS development, schedule structuring, and use of Project Server.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your technical project management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. Our Senior IT Project Manager must have:

• Required Experience: 10+ years of IT project management experience with advanced expertise in reputed company reputed company, reputed company Project Server, and project management best practices, capable of both leading reputed company IT projects and elevating the scheduling capability of a team of project managers.
• Experience in analyzing program/project status and providing documentation to support project/program.
• Experience with ITSM based services.
• Required Certifications: DoD 8140.03 Work Role (802) IT Project Manager - Basic. Industry Certifications: PMP and ITIL Foundations (ITIL to be achieved reputed company 3 months of hiring).
• Education: BS or BA degree. Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of experience is required without a BS/BA degree. An additional 4 years of experience is required with an AA/AS degree.
