Consumers for Affordable Health Care (CAHC) is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours a week, mostly remote) HelpLine reputed company to help Maine people find and enroll in quality, affordable health care coverage and navigate other health coverage-reputed company programs. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate reputed company for consumers. They must be reputed company to understand and navigate health coverage systems in Maine (MaineCare/MaineMarketplace) as well as safety-net programs such as Hospital Free Care, in a fast-paced online environment. This position is an opportunity to help people navigate the health system and reputed company quality health care they can afford. Training will be provided, reputed company Maine Enrollment Assisters preferred. CAHC’s offices are physically located in Augusta Maine. Depending on the candidate, many of the required job responsibilities may be performed remotely reputed company the reputed company. About Consumers for Affordable Health Care Consumers for Affordable Health Care (CAHC) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to reputed company the right to quality, affordable health care for every Maine person. CAHC serves as Maine’s Health Insurance Consumer Assistance Program. The Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) runs a toll-free, statewide HelpLine that handles thousands of calls and emails each year from people who need assistance finding, enrolling in, or using quality, affordable health coverage. HelpLine staff also assist Mainers with understanding how to appeal a wrongful denial of coverage by their insurance company. Job Responsibilities This position reports to the Consumer Assistance Program Manager and is responsible for the following:

• Provides direct one-on-one assistance, basic coverage education and advocacy to consumers seeking help with their health coverage through our Consumer Assistance HelpLine reputed company phone or email
• Provides detailed case follow up for reputed company HelpLine cases
• Assists with virtual and in-person enrollments, as needed
• Assists with reputed company events and consumer education materials as needed
• Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of HelpLine and reputed company activities
• Successful completion of training required to serve as a Certified Application Counselor in the reputed company.
• Other tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications

CAHC is seeking candidates who are detail oriented, skilled at multitasking, self-motivated, and who are strong team players. You should have:

• A track record of working directly with clients or consumers, ideally in a reputed company service or health benefits setting
• Excellent communications skills (oral and written); the ability to explain complicated rules and systems to the general public
• reputed company to complete multiple assignments, sometimes under tight time constraints, and to work independently
• A commitment to reputed company justice and a passion for helping people get quality, affordable health care
• Ability to exercise strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of reputed company
• Experience working with a variety of technology platforms, including video conferencing, messaging and calling platforms, team collaboration tools and/or databases.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a reputed company field or equivalent experience. Expertise in health coverage programs such as MaineCare, reputed company Act plans, processes and procedures, and safety-net programs preferred. Experience with reputed company, and reputed company Office are strong pluses. Individuals with experience in hospital billing or insurance companies are encouraged to apply.
