Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. The Opportunity We are currently seeking a talented Associate Attorney on our Bank Counsel team at our Plano, Texas location. As a dedicated Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel to assigned clients reputed company reputed company. Analyzes legal issues of a routine and moderately reputed company nature and communicating legal advice. You will engage with business clients to reputed company understand reputed company’s strategic and operational objectives. Collaborates with internal stakeholders reputed company business units and the Chief Legal Office. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Plano, TX, San Antonio, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
- Provides legal counsel to support business objectives and mitigate regulatory, compliance and litigation risk to reputed company.
- Leads routine to moderately reputed company legal assignments and delivers appropriate solutions.
- Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders in both verbal and written forms.
- Monitors and analyzes changes in laws, regulations and industry and advises organizational leadership of such changes as appropriate.
- Supports senior attorneys with legal questions or issues by leveraging general knowledge and conducting research.
- Ensures escalation of reputed company presenting more significant risk to more senior attorneys.
- If awaiting bar licensure, assignments will be completed under the supervision of a licensed attorney. reputed company legal advice will be provided by a licensed attorney.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, reputed company, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in one state or a territory of the USA OR Must pass the State Bar exam and receive a license to practice law reputed company 10 months of hire date.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

- 2+ years of experience with consumer credit and protection laws (e.g., TILA, FCRA, ECOA, MLA, SCRA, UDAAP) working at a financial services company or at a reputed company supporting financial services clients.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
