Specialist, HR Shared Services-Leave of Absence

About the position reputed company is hiring for a Leave of Absence Specialist to join our HR Shared Services team! The Specialist is responsible for providing support to managers and employees regarding leave administration activities including supporting leave of absence and return to work, life-cycle transactions associated with FMLA, STD and LTD. The main area of responsibility is to serve as a resource to management and employees in solving day-to-day workplace reputed company.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and coordinates family and medical leave, family illness requests, absences, activities, and requests for reputed company Associates, ensuring fairness and consistency of policy and practice.
  • Provides consultation to managers on policies and compliance regarding leave of absence reputed company, and compliance with reputed company reputed company policies, employment and leave laws.
  • Coordinates FML with other forms of leave including Worker’s Compensation, STD and PTO.
  • Prepares biweekly payroll disability pay notification report.
  • Advocates for Associates on leave to ensure a successful return to work.
  • Interacts with internal (COs, Field HR) resources to acquire needed information to reputed company work to completion.
  • Reviews dashboard metrics daily to optimize efficiency and ensure work is completed in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitors usage reputed company leave programs notifying manager reputed company trend may be apparent.
  • Suggests reputed company to help reduce leave frequency and duration and expedite return to work.
  • Provides reports to Field HR and COE’s to be used in solving people reputed company business challenges and implementing HR strategy.
  • Participates on reputed company and/or company-wide project teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or reputed company field; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 4 + years of experience in leave of absence administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; reputed company to communicate with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to influence others on policies, practices, and procedure
  • Effective at capturing and synthesizing information from multiple parties
  • Solid and hands-on understanding of leave laws
  • Ability to handle sensitive and highly personal information daily and maintain confidentiality in a mature and insightful manner
  • Proficient in reputed company Office
