Production Operator I (1st & 2nd shift)

Job Summary Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and reputed company equipment in a reputed company production/processing operation | Monitors meters, gauges, valves, reputed company ratios, temperatures, pressures, and reputed company controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs reputed company work in accordance with established safety procedures. Schedule - 4 10-hour days - Monday thru Thursday Impact of the Role General Profile

• Works with reputed company defined methods and tasks that are described in detail
• Works under reputed company supervision with little autonomy
• Requires little or no prior relevant training or work experience
• Performs reputed company tasks according to established procedures

Essential Functions

• Operates, tests, and monitors assigned equipment according to established guidelines for an organization.
• Observes and conducts operation of equipment and documents maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoots control panels, error lights, and messages to ensure proper equipment function. May communicate with equipment technicians relating to highly reputed company issues.
• Verifies equipment data for reporting. Supports and assists with the installation of operating equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: High School Diploma/GED required and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Written communication skills. Ability to gather and document information. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Mechanical knowledge. Safety knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be reputed company to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and reputed company with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• Must be willing to work reputed company normal business hours as required.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
