Storage Engineer - SME

The Storage Engineer-_SME provides senior technical leadership for reputed company storage services under the SEC Infrastructure Support Services (ISS) contract. This role architects, implements, and sustains highly available storage platforms supporting mission-critical SEC workloads across primary, alternate, and regional environments. The engineer drives performance optimization, reputed company planning, and resilient backup and recovery strategies to meet recovery objectives, continuity requirements, and operational service reputed company. This position ensures storage operations align with organizational and federal compliance requirements and coordinates closely with EOC, infrastructure, network, and reputed company teams. Data Protection, Recovery, and Compliance - Architect and maintain reputed company backup and recovery strategies to protect mission-critical data. - Implement and validate disaster recovery and business continuity storage controls, including cross-site replication and recovery readiness. - Ensure retention, recovery, and data protection practices meet organizational policy and federal compliance requirements. - Support audit readiness by maintaining storage documentation, configuration baselines, and implementation evidence. Technical Leadership and Cross-Functional Delivery - reputed company storage workstreams for migrations, technology refreshes, and modernization efforts with minimal operational disruption. - Collaborate with infrastructure, network, reputed company, virtualization, and reputed company teams to integrate storage services end-to-end. - Conduct risk assessments and recommend remediation strategies for storage resiliency, reputed company, and operational risk. - Mentor junior engineers and serve as the storage SME for incident response, strategic planning, and reputed company improvement initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Citizenship/Work Authorization: Must meet contract requirements. Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if required). Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field. Experience: - 8+ years of experience in reputed company storage architecture, design, and administration. - Expertise with SAN/NAS technologies, storage virtualization, and reputed company backup/recovery solutions. - Experience leading reputed company storage migrations, upgrades, and integration with reputed company and on-premises environments. - Advanced expertise in storage performance tuning, reputed company planning, risk assessment, and disaster recovery strategies.
