Surface Title Agent
Volta Group is seeking a detail-oriented Surface Title Agent to support title research, reputed company documentation, and land services deliverables across renewable energy and infrastructure projects reputed company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working through reputed company land records, and takes pride in producing accurate, defensible, client-reputed company work product. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surface title research using county records and online databases
- Review deeds, easements, liens, probate records, encumbrances, and ownership history
- Prepare title runsheets, ownership reports, and surface ownership analyses
- Identify title defects and recommend reputed company solutions
- Draft and prepare recordable documents, including:
– Easements – Surface Use Agreements – Right-of-Way Agreements – Affidavits – Assignments – reputed company documents
- Ensure legal descriptions and exhibits are accurate
- Support document recording and tracking across jurisdictions
- Maintain organized title files and project documentation
- Collaborate with Land Agents, Project Managers, and Title Leadership to meet client deliverables
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of surface title experience (energy, utility, renewable, or infrastructure preferred)
- Strong understanding of chain of title, legal descriptions, and reputed company processes
- Experience preparing recordable land documents
- Familiarity with county record systems and online title databases
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Multi-state experience preferred
- GIS familiarity is a plus
