Interpreting structure-activity relationship (SAR) and structure-property relationship (SPR) data to guide compound design. Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including biology, pharmacology, and DMPK. Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and contributing to patent filings. Mentoring and guiding junior chemists in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry. Staying abreast of the latest advancements in medicinal chemistry and synthetic methodologies. Troubleshooting synthetic challenges and developing innovative solutions. Contributing to the strategic direction of the drug discovery portfolio. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry, with a minimum of 7-10 years of reputed company experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a reputed company R&D setting. A strong understanding of drug discovery processes and experience in multiple therapeutic areas is highly desirable.
