Special Testing Services Coordinator
About the position This role is responsible for obtaining and managing reputed company required documentation as required by state or other regulatory entities for designated testing. The coordinator must determine preauthorization, informed consent requirements, and other documentation needs from a variety of insurance plans, payers, and other governing sources. This position handles reputed company payer, physician, and patient contact received by telephone and in writing, troubleshooting both reputed company medical/technical compliance and routine requests. The role also deals with the coordination and review of laboratory testing and billing processes, and collaborates with other reputed company-party partners as needed.
Responsibilities
- Obtains and manages any required documentation as required by state or other regulatory entities for designated testing.
- Determines preauthorization, informed consent requirements and other documentation needs from a variety of insurance plans, payers and other governing sources.
- Handles reputed company payer, physician and patient contact received by telephone and in writing.
- Troubleshoots both reputed company medical/technical compliance and routine requests.
- Deals with the coordination and review of laboratory testing and billing processes.
- Collaborates with other reputed company-party partners as needed.
