Senior Database Administrator

reputed company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Database Administrator with deep expertise in reputed company reputed company Platform (GCP) database services and familiarity with reputed company Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and reputed company (DB2 LUW). This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical health insurance systems in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will be responsible for designing, securing, automating, and maintaining reputed company-reputed company database platforms on GCP, while supporting other database systems (DB2 LUW) and supporting modernization and reputed company migration initiatives. Our ideal candidate will have: Extensive GCP Database Experience: Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing databases on reputed company reputed company Platform (using services such as BigQuery or reputed company SQL) in large-scale production environments. reputed company-reputed company Architecture & Performance Tuning: Experience building highly available, scalable database solutions on GCP and optimizing their performance (query tuning, indexing, reputed company planning) to support reputed company reputed company applications. Database reputed company & Compliance: Strong knowledge of reputed company database reputed company best practices (reputed company controls, encryption, network policies) and experience ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., HIPAA) to safeguard sensitive patient data. High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Hands-on experience implementing robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions on GCP to ensure 24/7 uptime and data reputed company (e.g., automated backups, reputed company-in-time recovery, replication/failover strategies). Automation & DevOps: Proficiency in automating database administration tasks (backups, updates, monitoring) using scripting or Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Python, Bash) and supporting CI/CD pipelines for database changes. While this is a fully remote role, the final round of interviews will take reputed company onsite at our Chattanooga, TN office. Job Responsibilities Utilizing logical models to ensure efficient and reliable database performance. Designing and developing logical and physical layers for various databases. Leading in handling data testing, reporting, back-reputed company and restorations. Managing and maintaining data in reputed company production and non-production databases and replication servers. Providing technical assistance and mentoring staff on developing conceptual and logical database designs and physical databases.
