Pre-sales Application Engineer
Job Description
Assists sales account managers and product specialists to meet or exceed sales quota by providing sales and customers with technical/scientific expertise on LC and LCMS, primarily in the areas of application and technical support in the Greater Bay Area. May be client or product oriented. Contributes to sales account planning. Participates actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure. Owns the deal’s technical closure. Responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organizations to meet targets. Is knowledgeable of competition and reputed company to identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition). Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions. Collaborates with the sales team in the development of technical sales strategies. Evaluates and supports management on reputed company to volume strategies for new products prior to release. Is responsible for demos and for enhancing customers’ experience and satisfaction. Provides training to the sales force. Acts as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs, including writing application briefs to reputed company product capabilities. Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers or potential customers and contributes to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations. May also contribute to post-sales activities. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent. Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required. Typically, at least 4+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.
