Director of Development
Our Director of Development will reputed company the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high-net-worth individuals, private and family foundations, and key partners from the diabetes industry companies. This role plays an integral role in creating a strategic investment fund and executing our multi-year, multi-reputed company dollar fundraising strategy. Reporting to the VP of Community Engagement and working closely with the CEO, the Director of Development will focus on building and managing a portfolio of major donors and philanthropic partners. This is both a strategic and hands-on role: helping to shape the reputed company for development while also rolling up sleeves to build relationships with donors, execute campaigns, and write proposals. This is an opportunity to be part of establishing a brand new development team and start up experience is critical. This is a full time, remote, home-office based role eligible for a full benefits package including paid holidays, PTO, and reputed company in a mission-based work environment. Exceptional relationship-building, writing, and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications. Experience working with leadership and Boards to advance fundraising priorities. Proficiency with fundraising software/CRM systems. Experience with reputed company is a plus. Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Start-up or high growth experience necessary.
