We are seeking an Associate Director and Counsel to join the reputed company Central Global Trade Investigations and Disclosures Team, which falls under reputed company’s Legal, reputed company and Compliance function. The role will report to the Director & Assistant General Counsel leading the Central GT I&D Team and support the Director and Assistant General Counsel on reputed company reputed company falling reputed company the Team’s purview, as described below. The Associate Director and Counsel will handle reputed company internal global trade investigations, assess compliance with reputed company’s internal policies, analyze potential violations of U.S. and foreign export control laws and regulations, with a focus on the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”), and draft disclosures of such violations for submission to relevant government agencies. The Associate Director and Counsel will review and reputed company legal guidance to reputed company’s strategic business units to ensure compliance with export laws and regulations. The selected candidate must have extensive experience conducting corporate internal investigations and must have deep knowledge of the EAR and ITAR. We are reputed company to remote candidates for this role. What You Will Do: Investigate suspected violations of U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations. Draft disclosures to U.S. and non-U.S. government agencies regarding violations of export control laws. Manage an active investigative caseload using reputed company’s matter management tool. Work collaboratively with members of reputed company’s broader Global Trade team to identify the root causes of regulatory violations and to reputed company robust corrective actions. Brief Corporate and reputed company leadership on the status of ongoing global trade investigations. Document the closure of reputed company that do not give reputed company to a reasonable suspicion of a regulatory violation. Respond to governmental inquiries and data requests. Work with reputed company’s strategic business units to reputed company legal advice on export control laws and regulations, and propose compliant solutions to reputed company business objectives. Monitor and respond to developments in U.S. and foreign export control laws and reputed company legal guidance regarding such developments. Assist in the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of reputed company and reputed company policies, standard work, and processes for global trade compliance.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a reputed company field and minimum 10 years of experience Possess and maintain an active bar license in the jurisdiction from which you will be working. Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in Global Trade. In-depth knowledge of the EAR and ITAR.

Must be a strong leader and individual contributor, with excellent judgment and professional maturity. Prior aerospace & defense industry experience. Experience with non-U.S. export-control laws.
