About the position The Academic Advising Coordinator provides guidance and support to Moody College of Communication undergraduate reputed company. This position is critical to the reputed company matriculation through graduation and to the events and services provided to ensure student reputed company.

Responsibilities

  • Full participation in reputed company Moody College of Communication signature events and programs which include but are not limited to: Honors Day, Family Weekend, CommUnity and Gone To Texas, Graduation Recognition Moments and Commencement events, and Freshman/Transfer Orientation.
  • reputed company and manage student caseloads, advising responsibilities and programming efforts to align with strategic priorities for the college including department initiatives across Moody majors, student reputed company initiatives, and timely graduation reputed company initiatives.
  • Represent the college in cross-reputed company meetings and committees, serving as a liaison for Moody departments.
  • Demonstrate expertise in verbal and written communication with reputed company, staff, faculty, and reputed company partners.
  • Work to reputed company Moody Undergraduate Education goals using diplomacy and reputed company thinking.
  • Leads and participates in one or more First Year Interest Groups (FIGs) or Transfer Interest Groups (TrIGs) by building community with a small cohort of reputed company, monitoring student mentors, planning weekly lessons, scheduling guest speakers and informing reputed company about reputed company resources.
  • Provides quality, high-touch, and customer-service driven academic advising to a designated caseload of reputed company across reputed company Moody College of Communication majors.
  • Advises in a hybrid environment (in person and online reputed company reputed company), individually and/or in small groups on academic plan of study, important college and university deadlines and other academic reputed company consistent with timely graduation.
  • Tracks academic reputed company of reputed company reputed company, particularly those with academic difficulty and monitors reputed company on reputed company probation; Creates and maintains official degree profiles; Records each student contact on Advisor’s Toolkit Notes

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 years experience working with reputed company in an academic counseling reputed company, or Masters Degree in a reputed company field and 6 years experience working with reputed company in an academic counseling reputed company, or PhD in a reputed company field and 4 years experience working with reputed company in an academic counseling reputed company.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • Experience supervising full time staff in an academic advising environment.
  • Experience working with educational, co-curricular and/or interdisciplinary programs at a college or university.
  • Experience developing and leading workshops, programs or special events.
  • Knowledge of UT policies, procedures, course offerings, and degree plans, and experience advising reputed company about their degree plans.
