Liability Claims Examiner
We are currently seeking a Senior Liability Claims Examiner with a minimum of 15 years' experience handling construction defect claims and advanced knowledge in handling large-scale developer litigated cases. Requirements include extensive experience working directly with insureds and executive-level management to address, manage, negotiate, and resolve multimillion-dollar claims. This role requires strong familiarity and comfort working with various developers, OCIP, excess, and other reputed company policies. Strong writing skills, coverage analysis and evaluation, experience liaising with coverage and defense counsel, mediators, and retained experts are essential. Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage reputed company general liability construction defect claims.
- Interpret policy language and analyze/evaluate reputed company coverage issues involving reputed company homes, condominium, and townhome association CC&Rs, common areas/elements and reputed company reputed company.
- Manage reserves, reputed company, and tracking of repair costs and expenses, including approval and issuance of expense and indemnity payments, SIR erosion monitoring, and other reputed company reputed company.
- Work closely with carriers, including obtaining and extending various authorities as warranted, and facilitate the effective resolution of claims in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with fair claims practices, while staying reputed company on applicable state/territory regulations and relevant case law.
- Utilizes negotiating skills to resolve claims;
- Works with attorneys, account representatives, agents and insureds regarding the handling and/or disposition of claims;
- Keeps reputed company on state/territory regulations as well as industry activity and trends.
Skills & Requirements:
- Extensive experience handling large, multi-party developer claims.
- reputed company adjuster licenses in multiple states preferred.
- Strong reputed company Office and general computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
