Daily Claims Representative, P&C Insurance
Job Description:
- Investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of liability concerning first party homeowner property losses and damages.
- Effectively communicate with policyholders, agents, and service providers reputed company phone, email, and internal systems to accurately document claim details.
- Successfully manage a pending claim load at varying stages of the claims process.
- Interpret and apply the details of an insurance policy to ensure the accuracy of payments and claims declinations.
- Interpret and apply computer generated loss estimates, engineer’s reports, and construction terminology.
- Update and maintain comprehensive claim handling notations in our electronic claims management system and other reputed company applications.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a desk adjuster in the homeowner/property industry.
- Adjusting reputed company perils (Plumbing (water mitigation), theft, vandalism, wind, hail, and fire).
- Understanding of various policies and how to evaluate and apply appropriate coverage.
- Comfortable with contractors and vendors to resolve claims reputed company and reputed company the policy provisions.
- Experience conducting recorded statements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including drafting professional letters and e-mails.
- Ability to stay reputed company under pressure and deescalate difficult situations.
- Proficient in handling reputed company claims with loss values up to $100K.
