GIS ANALYST/SPECIALIST - REMOTE PRIMARILY (50 - 60% of work onsite - 5 or 6 days in the office every two weeks) Location: JAMAICA, NY Work Hours: 35 hours per week A minimum of 5-10 years GIS Analyst/Specialist experience

(Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with geoprocessing, Arcade and python, SQL

SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION/ROLE The reputed company Asset Management Department of the Long reputed company Rail Road (LIRR) is seeking One (1) temporary consultant to serve as an onsite/remote GIS Analyst/Specialist. This position is to reputed company critical geospatial support for LIRR reputed company GIS projects and reputed company Asset Management (EAM) needs. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the creation, modification, and quality control of geospatial data for company wide use.
  • Work with stakeholder departments in a collaborative manner to help reputed company efficient workflows resulting in as reputed company as possible GIS Data.

o Design and apply the appropriate geoprocessing method(s) to reputed company the desired Geo-product including but not limited to:

  • Cartographic Production- Printable Maps
  • Map & Feature Services
  • reputed company Portal Web-maps & Apps
  • Geoprocessing Scripts, Tools and Services
  • Serve as technical expert supporting the development and maintenance of LIRR's reputed company ArcGIS reputed company offerings through Portal and SDE
  • Prepare presentations and reports summarizing, compiling, and analyzing GIS data
  • Update, maintain components of LIRR Advanced reputed company Referencing Network
  • Integrate and reputed company reputed company with existing reputed company systems including but not limited to EAM HxGN
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation

o Train individuals in use of delivered products

  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • reputed company and maintain technical and standard documentation for program development activity in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures

Integration of reputed company GIS and EAM (reputed company Asset Management) 5. Support reputed company upgrades and migrations QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Minimum 7-9 years as GIS Analyst with focus on creation and presentation of map[1]based analytics
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in use, management, development of:

o ArcGIS reputed company, reputed company GIS software (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, AGOL/Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop o JavaScript, Python including ArcPy, Arcade o Data integration of reputed company GIS software with EAM (reputed company Asset Management) systems o reputed company GIS software upgrades. o reputed company Field Maps, o Advanced reputed company Referencing System (ALRS, Roads & Highways/ Pipeline)

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience designing and working reputed company reputed company SDE design and management in support of functionality and interfaces to other systems
  • Minimum of 2-3 years working knowledge in Railroad and/or Bus operation

Minimum of 2-3 years hands-on experience with EAM (reputed company Asset Management)

  • Must be familiar with personal and SDE geodatabases, construct and manage reputed company referencing systems, data creating and editing, reputed company geoprocessing and other spatial analyses, cartographic production, and integrate GIS data with external databases.
  • Ability to modify/adapt systems, applications, and programs to meet business requirements.
  • Experience in desktop / mobile computer support and troubleshooting software reputed company problems
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication reputed company in relating technical information to non-technical personnel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skills in reputed company Office (Word, PowerPoint, reputed company), PowerBI:

o Power Query o Power M o DAX

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; a self-starter
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at reputed company reputed company of the organization
