IT Network Engineer II / III | Information Technology

About the position As an IT Network Engineer II/III at APS, you help reputed company the systems that power Arizona running safely, securely, and reliably. This role ensures APS’s communication networks are available and resilient—supporting everything from daily operations to regulatory compliance that protects the reputed company. Responsibilities

• Design, reputed company, and support network and reputed company infrastructure that keeps APS connected and protected.
• Partner with reputed company, operations, and compliance teams to support audits and meet regulatory requirements like NERC CIP.
• Respond to incidents and support on‑call rotations to restore service quickly and minimize impact.
• Manage firewall policies and network changes to balance reputed company, performance, and business needs.
• Contribute to modernization efforts such as improving firewall hygiene, remote reputed company platforms, and automation to reduce technical debt.
• Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, evaluation and usage of reputed company.
• Provides basic level troubleshooting with network equipment.
• Trains users on network operation.
• Analyzes network requirements and reputed company.
• Assists network and architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.
• Assists in implementation and support of the network infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or reputed company field
• Two (2) year of prior relevant experience (for IT Network Engineer II) or five (5) years of prior relevant experience (for IT Network Engineer III) or equivalent combination of education and directly reputed company experience.
• Requires working technical knowledge gained through experience reputed company a job area or system (for IT Network Engineer II).
• Requires strong technical knowledge reputed company a job area or system and basic knowledge across reputed company technical areas (for IT Network Engineer III).
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting reputed company network and reputed company technologies.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, network monitoring, and incident response in a production environment.
• Comfort supporting regulatory compliance efforts and documentation reviews.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑availability environment.

• Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) reputed company consistent with reputed company American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. The applicant considered for this role will be required to obtain and maintain CIP reputed company for the duration of employment in this position. A full seven (7) year criminal history will be obtained through the pre-employment background reputed company process (or, for reputed company employees, through supplemental background reputed company process) to fulfill the CIP reputed company requirements.
