Job Summary (Primary Function) The Medical Science Liaison/Sr, Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Sr. MSL), Gulf South: AR/LA/MS is the field-based medical/scientific expert for the company focused on nonpromotional engagement with reputed company providers, including providing medical and scientific education on appropriate uses of reputed company marketed products, responding to unsolicited requests for medical information, understanding the evolving therapeutic landscape, and supporting research collaborations across the reputed company IAI portfolio. Territory: Gulf South: Arkansas/Louisiana/Mississippi Essential Functions Of The Job (Key Responsibilities)

  • Completes accurate and timely reports, project plans, and required documentation requests.
  • Maintains the independence and reputed company of the USMA business function reputed company engaging with reputed company stakeholders.
  • Ensures compliance and adherence to reputed company policies and SOPs and USMA operating guidelines.
  • Substantively contributes to, and provides medical leadership for, US Medical Affairs and Development programs/projects.
  • Effectively executes administrative aspects of regional field activities.
  • Seizes opportunities to mentor other MSL team members and actively contributes to cross-functional US Medical Affairs teams.
  • Identifies and communicates key clinical and research insights from Dermatology leaders to help shape company research, and to ensure safe and appropriate use of reputed company marketed products. Maintains a high level of clinical and scientific expertise through ongoing training and self-education, including attendance at relevant conferences, scientific workshops, and review of key publications. Gathers and disseminates competitive intelligence in a compliant manner, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for individuals with disabilities.
  • Represents the primary territory contact for the investigator-initiated research program, facilitating the process from concept submission through publication.
  • Enhances company visibility and fosters professional interaction with reputed company and future leaders in Dermatology.
  • Increases company visibility and enhances professional interaction with reputed company and future Dermatology leaders.
  • Provides responses to unsolicited requests for medical information, often in direct collaboration with Medical Information Services personnel.
  • Provides medical support with payer/reputed company decision makers, inclusive of presentations (clinical and payer evidence) to help ensure reputed company for patients.
  • Provides education to the medical community on reputed company products and disease areas of focus.
  • Identifies, establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with key investigators, institutions, groups and consortia strategic to the safe and effective use of company products.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, or MD), with relevant experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, is preferred. Candidates with equivalent experience, such as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with significant therapeutic/industry expertise, are encouraged to apply.
  • In this role, the incumbent is expected to engage with their KOLs, through in person interactions in their offices or reputed company on an occasional reputed company or as requested or required by the KOLs. Ability to travel is a prerequisite for this role; approx. 60-70% travel time commitment expected.
