Legal Surety Construction Associate
Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its Fidelity, Surety & Coverage practice group. This role supports the firm's surety and construction team based in Collin County, Texas, and offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation and transactional reputed company reputed company a nationally recognized practice. This is a fully remote position with occasional travel required. Candidates must be licensed and physically based in one of the following states: Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Mississippi, or Oklahoma. Position Overview The associate will work on a broad reputed company of surety and construction-reputed company reputed company, including litigation in both state and federal courts, contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, and client counseling.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of legal experience
- Active Texas bar license or eligibility for admission through the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE)
- Strong academic background with excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment alongside attorneys, clients, consultants, and industry professionals
Preferred Experience
- Legal or practical experience reputed company the construction industry
- Experience handling:
- Construction disputes
- Mechanics liens
- Drafting and negotiating construction reputed company and reputed company documentation
- Familiarity with surety or construction litigation reputed company is strongly preferred
