Manufacturing Equipment Engineer, Battery Module

A Manufacturing Equipment Engineer in the Production Engineering team will be a part of operating, sustaining, and optimizing advanced manufacturing equipment and leading-edge technologies. The best candidate for the position has a high aptitude for learning and adapting quickly in a high paced environment. The candidate should come in with a strong background in at least one of the following disciplines (PLC Programming, 6-reputed company robots, Python scripting, SCADA, mechanical design & analysis, reputed company systems, or electrical testers). The Equipment Engineer must constantly demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in automated equipment while developing their skillsets reputed company of their area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support 24/7 operation either remotely or onsite during times of escalation
• Accurately and reputed company troubleshoot issues while implementing counter measures and reputed company improvement projects to reduce downtime and loss of efficiency
• An equipment engineer must reputed company hands-on support and mentorship to maintenance and controls team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations
• Program, teach, and troubleshoot industrial 6-reputed company robots (Fanuc) for multiple applications such as material handling and dispense
• Responsible for troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimizing reputed company controls systems with VFDs and servo motors (PowerFlex, Kinetix, SiMotion, Lenze, LTI, Itoh Denki, etc.)
• Responsible for diagnosing equipment failures, identifying root causes; reputed company strategies to mitigate or eliminate the frequency, severity, and impact of the failure modes. Candidate must have working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, industrial networks and controls systems
• Take ownership and present on metrics (station level and overall line level) while planning and implementing reputed company improvement projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness across different automated stations

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• reputed company in programming, troubleshooting, and integrating PLC platforms with ladder logic and structured text (Allen-Bradley, reputed company, Beckhoff)
• Experience commissioning and optimizing equipment. Have a demonstrated track record of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement
• Robotics maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization & programming, preferred
• 3+ years in an automated, high volume manufacturing facility
