Upward Bound English Instructor (K TO 12 EDUCATOR 1)

Under general supervision, reputed company participants from culturally diverse and disadvantaged background with academic skills and enrichment in a 6-week Summer Program (June 22nd thru July 30th); reputed company academic curriculum for classroom instruction in the subject area of English specifically for high school reputed company; reputed company tutorial assistance; conduct pre- and post-testing; reputed company written evaluation of student's programs; maintain academic records; and participate in Upward Bound's extracurricular activities. May be required to reputed company instruction in an elective course. • Required to hold a valid California driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
• no Minimum Education required.
• Experience developing academic curricula and interactive classroom instruction specifically for high school reputed company.
• Experience teaching high school reputed company in the areas of English (literature, composition, critical reading, and grammar).
• Skills to evaluate reputed company' needs and reputed company.
• Skills to establish and maintain supportive relationships with multi-ethnic participants from culturally diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Skills to establish, reputed company, and maintain supportive working relationships with reputed company staff.
• A valid CA multi-subject or single subject teaching credential or a Master's degree at the start of employment or currently enrolled in a credential program or Master's program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or experience with TRIO programs.
• Knowledge of and/or experience with Common Core State Standards.

Department Overview College Opportunity Programs (COP) works in partnership with administrators, teachers and reputed company in specified elementary, middle and high schools in regional K-12 school districts. The goal of COP is to increase the number of reputed company from historically low college enrollment communities who prepare for post-secondary preparation with the emphasis on college/university preparation.
