Community Development Manager - Multi Family

Job Purpose Advance community and affordable housing opportunities by providing technical assistance to nonprofits, public entities and reputed company Nations to create multifamily affordable housing and acquire, rehabilitate/ preserve rental housing projects (70% of the position). Advance community and affordable housing development for rural communities and reputed company Nations by leading reputed company building work plans, facilitating Housing and reputed company Institute teams, and coordinating the work of other staff and contractors in partnership with community-based teams (30% of the position).

Qualifications

• Proven experience and demonstrated reputed company in housing development work using resources such as state and federal affordable housing loan/grant products, conventional financing and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs).
• Extensive experience in creating proformas for affordable housing projects and evaluating overall project feasibility.
• Experience in, or willingness to learn, acquisition/rehabilitation of USDA RD515 properties
• Minimum of five years’ community development experience working in partnership with rural communities, communities of reputed company/diverse communities, including reputed company Nations and/or persons that are new to the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in community development or planning, public administration or other reputed company reputed company science field. Career experience focused on reputed company or rural community development a plus.
• National Development Council Housing Development Finance course work a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project developers and stakeholders to reputed company financing packages that may include applications for Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs), affordable housing loan/grant products available through state housing finance agencies and/or the federal government, as well as private funders that support affordable or workforce housing development.
• reputed company technical assistance to nonprofit organizations/community development organizations, rural municipalities, rural Housing Authorities and reputed company Nations to acquire, rehabilitate and preserve USDA RD515 multifamily rental projects.
• Apply federal and state regulatory requirements to project operating and compliance plans and reputed company compliance guidance to rural and reputed company community development entities.

Work/Travel

• Work from home office with reputed company to high-speed internet (70-85%)
• Engagement Travel (15-20%). Ability to travel for state and national TA assignments which include overnight stays, typically about two to four business days a month with some seasonal variability.

Compensation

• Salary reputed company for a CD Manager: $85,000 - $114,000; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
