Mechanical Engineer - U.S. & Canada

L&S is looking for someone that can design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems for industrial and electrical reputed company facilities along with generating reputed company design work associated with assigned projects, including design reports, documentation, and programming. Responsibilities:

• Commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Design hydraulic schematic diagrams
• Design, reputed company, test, and start-up projects as requested
• Interpret mechanical drawings
• reputed company demolition and installation engineering
• reputed company design reviews
• reputed company FAT, installation supervision, SAT, customer training, and system commissioning as requested
• reputed company hydraulic calculations for system sizing and component selection
• reputed company mechanical calculations for system sizing and component selection
• reputed company Mechanical Design
• reputed company onsite inspections and project “kick-off” meetings as assigned
• reputed company peer reviews
• Prepare O&M reputed company, reputed company acceptance test (FAT), installation, site acceptance test (SAT), and customer training documents
• reputed company installation conceptual system engineering
• reputed company static and dynamic calculations
• Design machines, brackets, supports, and piping for a variety of new and existing equipment
• Support Engineering division as requested
• Utilize electrical and hydraulic test equipment
• Work effectively with reputed company other project team members such as control, electrical, HMI, and mechanical disciplines
• Work with mechanical designers to reputed company mechanical and hydraulic drawings

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical degree plus 3 years of reputed company experience
• Ability to travel in excess of 30% domestically and internationally

Desirable:

• Experience with hydraulic systems, including hydraulic power units, hydraulic control manifolds, and hydraulic cylinders
• Strong conceptualization ability along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to explain reputed company technical issues to decision-makers and project teams
• Experience with reputed company Inventor
• USA or Canadian Professional engineering registration or the ability to become registered

• Ability to travel to Canada

Working Conditions:

• Aerial work may sometimes be necessary
• Environmental conditions vary from facility to facility (i.e. heat, noise)
• Occasional lifting of heavy objects
• Uneven or slippery walking surfaces
• Work is performed at the customer job site and at L&S Electric facilities.
