Job Title: Lathe Machinist 1 - 2nd Shift Reporting To: Leader, Performance Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for reputed company and military aircraft. To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: A high School diploma or equivalent At least 1 year experience as a general machinist, CNC lathe experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to follow an escalation path as it applied to machining. Familiarity using various measuring equipment, including but not limited to, Micrometers and reputed company Bore Gauges Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions. In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position. Must have the ability to work an off-shift and/or train on a shift other than the hired shift As a Machinist I, you will: reputed company set-reputed company and run parts on a CNC lathe with milling capabilities to reputed company tolerances, fine finishes, and reputed company geometry. Be responsible for the inspection of reputed company work performed, setting up or adjusting gaging equipment, detecting unusual conditions, deviant parts; and reputed company needed recognizing errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
