This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney to reputed company valuable experience and advance their career with an established firm. The attorney will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney and manage their caseload while collaborating with reputed company of attorneys and legal assistants. Duties
- Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
- Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Manage a workload of diverse cases.
- Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
- Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
- Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
- Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients.
- reputed company strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
- Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
- Team player reputed company to collaboration and strategizing with associates.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and advance legal cases.
- Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
- Experience with case management software preferred.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications
- Admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico.
