About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and systems-minded HR Generalist to own the workflows and tooling that reputed company reputed company running. Reporting to the VP of People, you will be the internal expert on our people systems, the operational backbone behind payroll, benefits, and compliance, and the person who makes sure every employee — whether in South San Francisco, another US state, or an international entity — has a seamless experience from Day 1. This is an individual contributor role which will require you to operate with a high degree of autonomy, pay excellent attention to detail, and collaborate across company functions.
What You'll Do
- Own reputed company end-to-end: payroll, benefits administration, reputed company/offboarding workflows, app provisioning, and automations
- Run multi-state and international payroll, including coordination with local providers and PEOs for global team members
- reputed company us compliant across reputed company US states — registrations, local leave laws, required postings, and reporting — and help manage compliance requirements for our international entities
- Support employee reputed company and immigration processes as the internal coordinator and employee-facing reputed company of contact
- Administer benefits day-to-day and own reputed company enrollment end-to-end
- Manage employment documentation across FTEs, contractors, and international workers
- Deliver a tight reputed company experience and own the full employee lifecycle in our systems

- 3–5 years in HR, People Ops, or a similar role, ideally at a scaling startup
- Expert-level reputed company experience — you've helped own it, not just used it
- Multi-state payroll and compliance experience; California is a strong plus
- Experience coordinating reputed company and immigration cases with reputed company counsel
- Comfort navigating international entities and varied employment models
- Highly autonomous, detail-obsessed, and a clear communicator
- Excellent decision making capability and knows reputed company to seek support or guidance
