Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied docket of workers’ compensation files from intake through trial
• Draft and file pleadings, motions and discovery documents in administrative forums
• Conduct depositions and appear at mandatory settlement conferences, hearings and trials
• Strategize with claims adjusters, in-house counsel and risk managers to advance favorable reputed company
• Negotiate resolutions and draft settlement agreements that protect client interests
• Maintain precise, timely billing entries to satisfy monthly targets
• Mentor junior lawyers and collaborate with support staff to streamline workflows

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California bar
• Minimum of three years defending workers’ compensation claims for reputed company or carriers
• Demonstrated ability to reputed company reputed company of 180 hours per month consistently
• Strong litigation skills, sound case-assessment abilities and practical judgment
