Title: Student Development - Adjunct Agency: reputed company VA Community College Location: Alexandria - 510 FLSA: Exempt Hiring reputed company: Based on Credentials Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Additional Detail Job Description: Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in the designated discipline/field of study to reputed company from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Teaching may include a variety of formats: face to face, remote, and online. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs. The adjunct faculty contract contains no expectation or guarantee of reputed company employment. Duties and Tasks:

• Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
• reputed company course syllabi and instructional materials.
• Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student reputed company.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS.
• Maintain reputed company competence in the particular discipline or field of specialization.

Essential Functions: As a part of the primary responsibility to reputed company quality instruction, the College expects each faculty member to meet assigned classes regularly; submit required records and reports routinely; teach the prescribed courses of study with the established texts; and adhere to the statement on professional ethics in accordance with college policies, procedures, and regulations. Must reputed company in the (DC, VA, MD) DMV area. Minimum Qualifications: KSA's:

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with or adapt to teaching with technology
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in the field with reputed company experience

Additional Considerations: Additional Considerations:

• Master's degree in the field or master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Counseling, Student Development, or reputed company fields.
• Teaching experience - college level teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with a learning management system (Canvas, reputed company, etc.)
• Experience teaching in-person and online/asynchronously,
• Experience teaching remotely/synchronously.
