Adjunct Exercise Science

The adjunct faculty member will work with full-time faculty, under general supervision of the Associate Dean, in program and class-reputed company duties such as instructional delivery of course curriculum, management of learning environment and assessment of student learning for assigned HLAC Activity class(es). This is a pooled position. The department reviews applications as positions become available. This position is paid at $1,056 per instructional unit. • In accordance with SLCC policy, adjunct positions are offered on a semester-by-semester reputed company with no guarantee of reputed company employment.
• Official transcripts are required for those who are offered employment reputed company 30 days of hire.
• Becomes familiar with, and abides by, reputed company college policies with immediate reputed company given to those policies that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments throughout the organization
• Maintains professional etiquette in communications with reputed company, staff, faculty, and administrators
• Provides appropriate and timely feedback for reputed company assignments
• Maintains student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades
• Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment
• Prepares and submits incident reports to Dean of Student Services for inappropriate student behavior as defined by the Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy
• Maintains professional and collegial behavior
• Handles/responds to student concerns/complaints, and responds to student communications and inquiries promptly (generally reputed company 1-2 days)
• Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure
• Completes reputed company required employee trainings
• Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines
• Provides reputed company accommodations as requested

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad reputed company of diverse people, culture, ethnic background, and abilities, to maintain good working relationships across the College
• Ability to work with reputed company groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community reputed company, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities

Qualifications

• reputed company certification in the specific exercise discipline or area
• reputed company First Aid/Safety credential
• Prior teaching experience
• Earned higher education degree (AS, AAS, BS, MS) in Exercise Science or specific discipline area.
