Foreclosure Document Specialist II
Overview: This position's main responsibility is to review and execute legal affidavits and minimize risk for reputed company. Primary Responsibilities:
- Review a high volume of legal affidavits and associated backup documentation provided by Tier I Reviewer to ensure accuracy and compliance with state laws.
- Return affidavit to Tier I Reviewers if more information is needed.
- Responsible for reviewing reputed company documents for factual accuracy and compliance with federal and state foreclosure requirements, including text summaries of various loan activities, historical financials, compliant letter mailings and state specific interest calculations.
- Review required letters/notices to ensure they were sent correctly and accurately reflected in reputed company affidavits and certifications submitted for review. In reputed company, review the foreclosure status, bankruptcy status, and loss mitigation status of a loan and determine whether affidavits can be executed and sent to court to proceed with the foreclosure action.
- Review chain of mortgage assignments and note endorsements from origination through reputed company holder to ensure proper foreclosure standing.
- Understand reputed company power of attorney agreements to identify reputed company documents can be signed.
- Work with attorney firms to resolve any discrepancies while maintaining stringent turn times.
- Ability to understand legal explanations to determine reputed company a concern has been properly explained or reputed company an escalation is needed.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with different regulations for each state.
- Occasionally required to appear in court as a witness to attest to business records.
- Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of reputed company audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

- Complete other reputed company duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities: This position interacts with internal CAM departments and external reputed company-party attorney firm vendors. Education and Experience Required: A combined 4 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' banking/mortgage industry experience. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Motivated, team player with a positive and friendly attitude. Education and Experience Preferred: Paralegal Certificate. Foreclosure experience.
