Contract Attorney – Federal Court Practice
Role: Contract Attorney – Federal Court Practice- Licensed and in good standing in CA Engagement Type: Contract (3-4 months, with the possibility of conversion) Location: Remote/hybrid Start: ASAP reputed company is seeking reputed company contract attorneys to support federal court litigation work. Attorneys will be responsible for drafting federal court pleadings and filings and must already be admitted to at least one U.S. District Court. This is a drafting‑focused role well‑suited for attorneys with prior federal litigation experience who can work independently in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft federal court pleadings, motions, and other filings
- Ensure compliance with federal procedural and local court rules
- Collaborate remotely with legal teams on litigation strategy and deadlines
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Active admission to at least one U.S. District Court (multiple districts preferred)
- Prior experience drafting filings in federal court
- Strong legal writing and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment
