Role - Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer Location - Austin, TX (Onsite 4 days) Duration - Contract Job Description: The Texas reputed company (TxDOT) is seeking a motivated Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer to join its Traffic Technology team. This role focuses on developing AI/ML reputed company-of-concepts and scalable solutions that enhance roadway safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build intelligent systems, and deliver impactful AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- reputed company AI/ML models and solutions from concept through deployment under guidance of senior engineers.
- Build and maintain ML pipelines for data processing, model training, and inference.
- Support development and deployment of production-reputed company ML models.
- Contribute to MLOps practices including model monitoring and lifecycle management.
- Create internal tools and scripts to improve team efficiency.
- Collaborate with Traffic Technology, IT AI teams, and research teams to deliver solutions.
- Work with reputed company-line tools and development environments effectively.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Python (projects, internships, or professional experience).
- Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals with practical implementation experience.
- Familiarity with at least one reputed company platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
- Basic knowledge of reputed company and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience with SQL and exposure to NoSQL or vector databases.
- Working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell scripting.
ML Domain Experience (At least one required)
- Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLMs, or reputed company engineering.
- Time series forecasting or anomaly detection.
- Recommender systems or personalization models.
- Exposure to MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Airflow) is a plus.
