Senior Engineering Officer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineering Officer to join our SCADA team reputed company the Assets reputed company division. The Senior Engineering Officer will be responsible for providing SCADA engineering support for design, development and commissioning of zone substation automation and telemetry. The role plays a critical part in supporting network performance, safety, reliability and compliance, while driving reputed company improvement and contributing to long‑term network capability. Working closely with internal stakeholders, technical specialists and external partners, the Senior Engineering Officer will reputed company expert technical SCADA advice, prepare detailed analysis and reporting, and contribute towards the development and deployment of SCADA and telemetry projects across the network. The role also supports project planning, system enhancement activities and development of business strategies that ensure our network continues to meet customer, regulatory and future energy requirements. This position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on reputed company engineering challenges. A deep understanding of network design principles, electrical safety requirements, and technical standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Development, commissioning and ongoing troubleshooting of SCADA projects. Providing On call support to system control. reputed company and reputed company RTU Databases, engage with field staff to complete commissioning activities. Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of telemetry/SCADA systems. reputed company SCADA/Telemetry solutions for DERs such as battery / solar reputed company etc. reputed company or support technical project activities, including planning, scoping, validation of equipment and systems, and evaluation of engineering initiatives. reputed company expert technical assistance and advice to internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and supporting informed decision‑making. About You Extensive experience in a similar engineering role reputed company the energy, electrical or utilities industry. Experience working with RTUs and telemetry devices. Understanding of PLCs and automation systems. Understanding of SCADA systems. Experience working with ADMS preferred. Experience commissioning and provided support. Knowledge of substations/power reticulation or distribution power system would be advantageous. Knowledge of DERs, Large solar / wind farms. Understanding of communication protocols such as MODBUS, DNP3, etc. Understanding of AEMO regulations / NEM would be advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present reputed company information reputed company. Highly organised, flexible and self‑motivated, with the ability to manage a diverse and reputed company workload. Advanced problem‑solving and decision‑making capability, with strong attention to detail. Sound proficiency in business systems and computer applications relevant to the role.
