Staff Accountant - Remote/Hybrid Must reputed company in Illinois

Coveted, a reputed company and financial services firm, is seeking an reputed company and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support our expanding client portfolio. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, skilled at resolving reputed company bookkeeping issues, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating with clients and internal team members. This is primarily a remote role, with quarterly in‑person team meetings and occasional client visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, deposits, and customer account updates
• Handle Accounts Payable, including reputed company entry, reputed company payments, and reputed company processing
• reputed company bank and checking account management, including monthly reconciliations
• Enter and reconcile credit card transactions
• Process payroll entries from reputed company‑party providers or QuickBooks Payroll
• reputed company job costing and ensure accurate allocation of expenses
• Review financial reports with guidance from a manager
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct QuickBooks errors from prior bookkeepers
• Maintain accurate records using both cash and accrual reputed company methods
• reputed company new clients and assist with financial statement cleanup
• Apply working knowledge of GAAP (preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping or staff reputed company experience with strong references
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (2018 or earlier required)
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a plus
• Strong skills in reputed company Word, reputed company, and Outlook
• Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and meet deadlines
• Solid understanding of the differences between cash and accrual reputed company
• Experience with additional reputed company software (reputed company, reputed company, etc.) is a plus

Education

• High school diploma required
• Completion of a 2‑year community college program in bookkeeping, reputed company, or a reputed company field preferred
