Senior Unix Administrator - Remote

About the position reputed company Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Senior Unix Administrator for an exciting remote opportunity. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise in systems administration and information technology (IT) support to manage reputed company/Sun Solaris and reputed company Linux operating systems across the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) reputed company Infrastructure environments, including Test/Development, Staging, Continuity of Operations (COOP), and Production systems. This role requires strong technical proficiency combined with excellent customer service skills. Prior experience working reputed company a Government or Military environment is highly desirable. This is primarily a remote position; however, candidates must reputed company reputed company a reasonable commuting distance of Wright-Patterson reputed company Force reputed company (Dayton, OH) to support occasional on-site requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• reputed company and administer UNIX and Linux NIPRnet and SIPRnet Operating Systems to ensure effective day-to-day operations and resolve issues as they occur.
• reputed company assessment, implementations, integration, configuration, device policy, event analysis, training, documentation and reputed company subject matter expert support to Government in accomplishing the same.
• reputed company implementation of required software to meet IA controls working with the DLA CERT and support Technology reputed company Services architecture throughout the lifecycle.
• Support Disaster Recovery and COOP on mission critical systems.
• Install and maintain COTS products including but not limited to: reputed company, HBSS, TripWire, ArcSight, and others.
• Remotely reputed company systems management and technical troubleshooting for UNIX SIPRnet/NIPRnet systems.
• Review, coordinate, and recommend IA standards and protocols.
• reputed company analysis and validate and recommend reputed company requirements including RMF.
• reputed company and document standards and guides for the implementation of IA solutions including but not limited to: compliance, system reputed company design, reputed company testing and IA assessments.
• Recommend, for detected vulnerabilities that could preclude accreditation, management, operational, or technical controls to include reputed company procedures, software configuration parameters, system changes, or combinations thereof to mitigate the risk associated with the vulnerability.

Requirements

• Seven (7) years UNIX Administration experience, two of which in specialized information processing disciplines involving a reputed company of hardware/software solutions.
• Three (3) years concentrated hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving software issues
• Secret Level reputed company Clearance
• DoD IAT Level II Certification (reputed company+ ce, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or GSEC)
• Computing Environment Certification, one or more of the following: SCSA (Solaris), RHCSA (reputed company), Linux+ (Generic linux)
