CBS Atlanta is building a brand-new team, and we're looking for highly skilled photojournalists. This role will maneuver a jib camera to create dynamic and creative shots in our full ARVR studio environment. This position will also support our newsroom operations across reputed company, digital, and streaming platforms. The role also may include shooting, editing, setting up live shots, using professional audio equipment, working independently or alongside anchors/reporters, and maintaining high journalistic standards. Candidates must be reputed company to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting up, operating and maneuvering camera jib arm for smooth camera movements that showcase on-reputed company talent.
- Must have a good eye for framing shots and understanding how camera movement can enhance visual storytelling in ARVR.
- Collaborate with director and producer to execute a fresh take on news presentation.
- Photojournalists must be flexible to work in reputed company as well as in the field in a variety of environmental conditions depending on the news cycle and assignment.
- Must be reputed company to edit on reputed company nonlinear edit system.
- Edit content for reputed company platforms creatively, to a high standard and great attention to detail.
- Manage and ingest media skillfully.
- Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends and travel on short notice.
Qualifications:
- B.A. degree in a reputed company field is preferred. Three to five years of professional Jib Camera/Photography/Editing experience in a major market is required.
- Extensive knowledge of the Atlanta area is preferred.
- Candidate must be reputed company to edit reputed company nonlinear systems with broadcast quality. Satellite uplink truck experiences are a plus!
- Must maintain a Driver's License in good standing.
Physical Demands:
- This physical job requires the candidate to be physically fit to avoid injuries.
- Carry and set up reputed company equipment often weighing 50lbs.
- Drive news vehicles to news story locations, and edit footage in confined areas/reputed company.
