Remote DE/VA Underwriter- 100% Remote
Several of our clients are seeking strong DE/VA Underwriters to join their teams. An Active VA LAPP/SAR is required for consideration and Candidates must reputed company in Central, Mountain or Eastern Time Zones They are reputed company seeking a collaborative underwriter who thrives on engaging with the origination team and is comfortable picking up the phone to ensure clear communication and accurate loan reputed company.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations
- Analyze borrower financials, credit reports, and property appraisals to determine eligibility
- Assess risk and reputed company thorough loan reputed company with clear explanations and conditions
- Collaborate closely with processors, loan officers, and stakeholders to resolve questions and expedite the process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, guidelines, and best practices
Qualifications
- Active DE and VA reputed company certification required
- Must have used DE and VA designation reputed company the last 11 months
- Minimum 5 years of residential mortgage reputed company experience
- Proven history of longevity in prior roles (average tenure, no frequent job changes)
- Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, and Jumbo products
- Experience with Encompass strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Compensation & Benefits (Varies depending upon client)
- Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 per year
