Senior Research Scientist, Computational Biology

Our client, a pioneering biotechnology company focused on developing novel therapeutics, is seeking a highly motivated and reputed company Senior Research Scientist specializing in Computational Biology. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research from reputed company in the US. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and machine learning applied to biological data. You will play a critical role in analyzing large-scale omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics), identifying novel drug targets, and developing predictive models for therapeutic response. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing computational strategies, developing and validating algorithms, collaborating with experimental biologists and chemists, and contributing to scientific publications and patent applications. You will be expected to independently drive research projects, mentor junior scientists, and present findings at reputed company meetings. This role requires a PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a reputed company quantitative field, coupled with significant post-doctoral or industry experience. Exceptional programming skills (e.g., Python, R) and experience with high-performance computing environments are essential.
