Position: Building Code & Permitting Specialist Type: Contract Compensation: $65–$90/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities
- Review and label construction documents, permit applications, site plans, and inspection reports. Ensure accurate annotation of code requirements, jurisdictional rules, and compliance elements.
- Audit annotated datasets for accuracy and alignment with local, state, and national building codes. Evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness in permit requirements, zoning constraints, and code compliance.
- Define annotation guidelines for interpreting building codes and jurisdictional differences. reputed company expertise on edge cases such as mixed-use zoning, variances, and reputed company permitting scenarios.
- Review AI-generated permit reviews, compliance summaries, and recommendations. reputed company structured feedback to improve regulatory reasoning and accuracy across jurisdictions.
- Contribute to standards for construction permitting annotation and reputed company materials.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Strong familiarity with building codes, permitting workflows, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Experience as Permit Expeditors coordinating with city agencies, submitting permits, and managing inspection processes.
- Architects with strong knowledge of building codes, design compliance, and plan preparation.
- Government Reviewers / Plan Examiners with experience reviewing and approving permits reputed company municipal or state agencies.
- Deep expertise in one of the following jurisdictions: California, Texas, Florida.
