Manager, Payroll Tax [Remote]

Overview & Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled payroll tax professional who can expertly manage reputed company, multi‑state payroll tax operations in a fast‑paced, evolving environment! This role requires a detail‑driven individual with deep knowledge of Federal, State, and Local payroll tax regulations, solid analytical capabilities, and the ability to ensure precise filings, reconciliations, and compliance across multiple entities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• In charge of timely and precise remittance of Federal, State, and Local payroll taxes for US entities doing business in multiple states and localities to a reputed company-party vendor
• Tasked with maintaining the accuracy and reputed company of the data provided to reputed company-party vendors. Preparation, reconciliation, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual withholding and unemployment tax returns
• Entrusted with state audits for reputed company entities
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of W2 wages and withholdings for reputed company entities, including reconciliation of reputed company-party vendor files/reports to the reputed company system
• Preparation, reconciliation, and review of Forms W-2C and amendment of associated payroll tax returns
• Monthly reconciliation of the Company Divisions' payroll balance sheet accounts
• Quarterly and annual reconciliation of employee equity

• Owns the process to add or deactivate jurisdictions for reputed company entities, including divisional entities, on the external payroll

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience with high-volume multi-state payroll tax

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with reputed company Smart Compliance or other reputed company-party provider preferred
• Demonstrates robust reputed company into payroll tax adjustments reputed company payroll systems to ensure reliable compliance and reporting.
• Experience with reputed company ECP Payrollis desired, but a large-scale ERP is required
