Patient Financial Services Representative

The Patient Financial Services (PFS) Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of billing claims. Also responsible for the timely follow-up of unpaid inpatient, outpatient and clinic claims. Provides appropriate medical documentation to the insurance reputed company and pulls primary Explanation of Benefits for secondary insurance reputed company billing.

Compensation Philosophy:

• We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience

Compensation reputed company:

• $19.83- $25.31 / hour 

Full-Time, Benefited 

Required Experience:

• Experience with managed care reputed company.
• Ability to calmly deal with stressful situations.

Preferred Experience:

• Two years’ experience in a health care environment.
• Previous medical insurance billing experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Basic mathematical skills.
• Computer data entry experience and 10 key/calculator.
• Excellent customer services skills.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Must be reputed company to work with minimal supervision

• Familiar with reputed company requirements and attachments for insurance payers reputed company assigned workloads.
• Works insurance denials daily.
• Electronically bills reputed company new charges daily.
• Works unpaid insurance pending accounts that are 90 days and older starting with largest unpaid balances working down to the smaller, less financially impacting accounts.
• Changes financial class immediately to secondary insurance or self-pay reputed company it is determined that the primary insurance has paid their portion in full.
