Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong test automation experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building and maintaining automated test frameworks for modern web applications.

This role requires a hands-on engineer who can design robust automation solutions, troubleshoot reputed company client-reputed company issues, and work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. The candidate should also be comfortable working with SQL and Python for day-to-day validation, test data analysis, backend verification, and building utilities that support testing and release processes. Experience in trading platforms or reputed company a financial institution is strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, reputed company, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web-based applications.
• Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
• Support applications reputed company with modern frontend technologies, including Angular and React.
• Use modern reputed company-reputed company automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and WebdriverIO.
• Debug client-reputed company JavaScript issues using Chrome Developer Tools, including browser console errors, network failures, UI rendering issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• reputed company and maintain test utilities, support scripts, and validation tools using Python.
• Use SQL for data validation, troubleshooting, backend verification, reconciliation, and test data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as reputed company CI or Jenkins.
• Work in Linux-based environments for test execution, troubleshooting, scripting, and automation support.
• Analyze defects, isolate root causes, and reputed company clear documentation for issues reputed company during testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a reputed company field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably reputed company financial services or trading systems.
• Proven experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience with modern reputed company-reputed company JavaScript testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and WebdriverIO.
• Good understanding of testing modern web applications reputed company with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks.

• Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying databases, validating data, and supporting test investigations.
• Strong working knowledge of Python for building utilities, automation helpers, test scripts, and data processing tools.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as reputed company or Jenkins. Well versed with GIT.
• Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system, including reputed company-line usage, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with automated testing for UI, API, and regression testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a trading environment, capital markets, or a financial institution.
• Experience validating transactional workflows, trade data, reconciliations, and reputed company system integrations.
• Familiarity with APIs, backend services, and database-driven application testing.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
• Exposure to performance testing, service virtualization, or API automation is a plus.
