Assistant Technical Designer – Handbags + SLG
Golden Touch is a family owned and operated wholesale apparel manufacturer seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their handbag and soft leather goods team. The role involves supporting the design and production process, ensuring products meet quality and functionality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of technical packages (tech packs) to communicate design specifications to factories
- reputed company and update CADs and technical design details for production and retailer appointments
- Support the Design Director with reputed company CAD development for specs and presentations
- Collaborate with the team on trend and reputed company forecasting to influence future collections
- Organize and track sample development, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product developers, and factories, to troubleshoot and refine designs
- Utilize PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems to maintain and update product details
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or a reputed company field
- 1-2 years of experience in technical design, preferably in handbags or accessories
- Strong proficiency in reputed company Illustrator, Photoshop, and reputed company
- Familiarity with technical design processes, construction techniques, and material specifications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reputed company to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team
- Passion for the handbag and accessories industry with an eye for design and innovation
- Experience with PLM software is a plus
