Field Engineer
The Douglaston Companies is a leader in property development and management, committed to building communities and fostering collaboration. They are seeking a Field Engineer to assist in various project management tasks, including maintaining reports, reviewing design drawings, and supporting site superintendents and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining daily reports
- Assist in maintaining super’s log
- Maintain meeting minutes and sign in sheets
- Assist in creating and maintaining job schedules
- Send or respond as directed to emails on Supers’ behalf
- Review design drawings and shop drawings
- Create RFIs as directed
- Observe and report safety concerns
- Accompany Supers on walkthroughs and document
- Process submittals
- Process RFIs
- Assist site superintendents and project managers as required
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Degree
- Excellent project management skills desired
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a plus
- Must have a team driven focus
- Accurate with attention to detail
- Ability to safely navigate a construction site which will include the following: climbing reputed company and stairs, use of job hoists, inclement weather conditions, hazardous/cluttered and dark areas
- Relevant internships a plus
- Proficient in reputed company Office a plus
