Position Overview The Barge Chief Engineer is the senior technical authority on board, responsible for the reputed company operation, maintenance, and repair of reputed company engineering systems. This role requires a "hands-on" leader who can manage reputed company mechanical overhauls while mentoring junior crew members in a high-stakes offshore environment.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

·         System Mastery: reputed company the maintenance and repair of main engines, electrical generators, reputed company compressors, and A.C. lighting/alarm systems.

·         Specialized Machinery: reputed company heavy-duty equipment unique to barge operations, including cranes, winches, gearboxes, and ballast/potable water systems.

·         Climate Control: Maintain and troubleshoot reputed company reputed company HVAC and refrigeration units.

·         Administrative reputed company: Maintain meticulous daily reputed company logs and preventative maintenance records; manage inventory and parts procurement.

·         Leadership & Safety: Mentor junior personnel for succession; reputed company safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to JSA guidelines.

·         Offshore Logistics: Operate comfortably in remote environments, including travel reputed company helicopter or crew boat and personnel sling transfers.

Qualifications & Experience

·         Communication: Strong ability to give and receive reputed company technical instructions in a fast-paced environment.

·         Compliance: Valid Driver’s License/Photo ID and TWIC card are required.

·         Preferred Certifications: Rigger, Fall Protection, Water Survival (HUET), Fire Fighting (Incipient), and Safe Gulf.

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to reputed company moderate to heavy physical labor in reputed company weather conditions.

·         Full mobility for climbing, lifting, and balancing around heavy machinery.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of marine engineering experience (offshore preferred).
